Complete your Music Therapy Internship at UMTC

Upstate Music Therapy Center LLC provides Music Therapy services to individuals of all ages.  Our therapist’s service individuals in the home, daycare, preschool, special education facility, school district, community home, and at our center.  While most of the intern’s experience with our agency will focus on children, there are growing opportunities to observe or work with young and older adults.

We currently have a Nazareth College Affiliated Internship.  We accept applications for September and when needed by the student will consider a January start date.  The intern should expect to be scheduled 40 hours a week, primarily Monday through Friday, from September through June.  As Saturday programming develops, the intern may be assigned on that day instead of one of the weekdays.

Education Qualifications

• Completed all undergraduate or equivalency coursework from an accredited music therapy program
• Documented music therapy practicum experience
• A letter from your academic director verifying your eligibility for the internship

Complete the Internship Application and email it to amy@upstatemtc.com , Amy Thomas, LCAT, MT-BC Director.  You should expect to hear back from our Education Coordinator, Rebecca Szalay, LCAT, MT-BC within one week.  We may seek additional information or ask to set up an interview and audition.
